Eating out!

Well, I did fine yesterday up until supper then we ended up eating out.  We ate at Taco John’s which is one of my favorite places.  I will try to make it a point to not eat out the rest of the week. Eating out is one of my weaknesses.  I hate cooking so it’s the way to go for me. No more!!!  I have to get controlof my  food.  I want to lose this weight and I will!!!

    I think this gets easier as you go along Shelley.

    My husband and I used to eat out a lot too, since there is just two of us…

    So when I started, I litterallyhad to NOT eat out at all for the first month. It was tooo hard. Tooo many temptations, and I wasnt strong enough to make the right choices…

    Now, I can go out and inevitably I choose the salad with dressing on the side, grilled chicken or a grilled fish and veggie entree…

    You will get there. It takes practice and determination…

    And yes, for a while, you may want to stay away from Taco Johns. Not forever, just for now!

    I wouldn’t sacrafice something you love to do. If eating out is what you enjoy go for it. I eat out several times a week… here is what I do. Always get a salad, drink water and take away 1/2 the entree before you even eat it. Get a take out box and put it in there or split a meal with someone. And there are small things with the meal itself you can do like skip the cheese,whole grain options, forget the sauces. You’ll find most food is flavorful enough without all the extra junk !     Dont worry about it, Just look at it as your “One” cheat meal… I usually give myself one cheat meal per week… Just keep the rest of the week healthy and u’ll be fine…… Dont give up!
